15th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
This high-value airmail stamp celebrates the 15th anniversary of the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights (15è Anniversaire de la Déclaration Universelle des Droits de l'Homme). The symbolic, vertically split design integrates a multi-rayed sun, a flock of ascending peace doves, and the official global emblem of the United Nations flanked by olive branches. This intricate presentation conveys a profound message of humanitarian unity, global justice, and international diplomatic cooperation. Within the national framework of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the postal issue serves to solidify the young state's official commitment to international law, human dignity, and the foundational global values championed by the UN general assembly.
