Pavel Belyayev, Alexei Leonov, Voskhod 2

Voskhod 2 was a Soviet crewed space mission launched in March 1965. During the flight, Alexei Leonov became the first person to leave a spacecraft and move freely in space while Pavel Belyayev commanded the mission.
The historic spacewalk demonstrated that people could work outside a spacecraft, although the mission also revealed serious operational risks. Its experience influenced later procedures for extravehicular activity and spacecraft safety.
